Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Half Kigali City Tour & Transfer Volcanoes National Park
Pick up from hotel or home stay and head to Half City Tour in Kigali with a choice according to your desire, visit Kigali Genocide Memorial, Campaign Against Genocide Museum, Richard Kandt House, Inema Art Center.
Break for lunch time with local food to experience Rwandan cuisine. Then transfer to Musanze, during afternoon time, explore Iby'iwacu Cultural Village and learn about Rwandan Culture, Dance and more. Head to the Hotel for overnight stay in Musanze town, close to the Volcanoes National Park.
Day 2 - Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Gisenyi.
A day for a thrilling adventure! Venture into the Volcanoes National Park to see the rare mountain gorillas. The park is a home to 10 habituated gorilla families available for trekking. After this unforgettable experience head to Gisenyi; the city bordering Rwanda and Congo for a night stay.
Day 3 - Lake Kivu Adventure & Coffee Tour
After your breakfast, take the boat ride and Transfer to Cyimbili.
At Cyimbili, go on a fascinating tour of the artisanal coffee plantations, Explore more about coffee plantation from land to the cup.
After this experience proceed with boat ride to Kibuye and enjoy lunch with fresh fishes from the Lake.
Spend a couple minutes relaxing at the lake shore, then enjoy water sports activities like kayaking, visit the bat island, leave the boat and do the hiking to Napoleon island.
Day 4 - Canopy Walkway & Tea Plantation Tour
Have a morning breakfast and relax, At 11:00 am leave the hotel to the Nyungwe National Park reception for your afternoon activities.
Start by experiencing the canopy walk way; a 70 meters suspended metallic bridge to give you an overview of Nyungwe Forest at the Treetop and on a luck day spot primates in the forest as you take a walk on this bridge.
After this great experience proceed with tea plantation visit, Gisakura tea gardens, learn how the tea is planted, harvested, harvesting time and processing then drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 - Chimpanzee & Colobus Monkey Tracking
Wake up early and head to the park reception. At 5:00am the briefing starts and depart for the chimpanzee tracking, You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees.
Head back to Uwinka Overlook Reception for Lunch, relax for afternoon activity.
After the briefing, go on a search for the colobus monkeys then head back to the hotel for evening stay and relax.
Day 6 - King's Palace Museum to Kigali
Take breakfast at the hotel and hop on a drive for 6 hours, have en-route lunch and stopover for leg stretching, visit Nyanza King’s Palace Museum, the King’s Mutara III Rudahigwa’s Palace. It offers a detailed look into the Rwandan monarchical system and its abolition in early 1960s due to colonialism. Then transfer back to Kigali
